Make Sure To Sleep If You Want To Lose Body Fat
Few women get enough sleep, and it could be affecting your ability to lose body fat. If you’re dieting and working out to burn inches, then of course it’s not just weight you want to lose but body fat… and the amount of sleep affects this big time.
In a recent study, people that were sleep deprived and those that sleep adequately lost the same amount of weight… but those that slept through the night lost mostly fat while the others lost 1/4 of their weight from fat.
That means that if you’re following a good weight lifting for women program, then you’re not doing much because your body is burning lean body muscle instead of fat… that is if you’re not sleeping long enough.
It sucks to not lose body fat but on top of it those that didn’t sleep enough experienced more hunger due to their bodies producing more of the hunger hormone ghrelin. And if you’re starving then you’re going to feel sluggish and want to skip out on your workout plans for the day!
If it’s fat you want to lose, how much sleep should you be getting each night ? A good amount is at least seven hours while getting under six and your weight loss will most likely suffer.
Remember the keys to fat loss: proper exercise, clean eating lifestyle and sleep! If you are working hard but you’re not seeing the results you want then that really sinks, it is only natural you will lose motivation and possibly want to give up. So what’s the main issue… if you’re wanting to lose weight and see your body change, then get plenty of sleep tonight!
